LOL: Cops Save Flag Burning Idiot From Setting Self Aflame at RNC
A lot has been happening at the RNC these past few days (see Caitlyn Jenner to RNC: 'Coming out Republican was harder than coming out trans...' Leftists Rage). In a predictable fashion, mouth-breathing dingbats congregated outside the convention to protest all the things. When it comes to protesting, there's regular stupid and then there's light yourself on fire stupid. This guy learned the difference when he attempted to do some flag burning.
It was the most turbulent protest since the four-day convention began... Two officers were assaulted and suffered minor injuries. Police arrested 17 people after a melee broke out during a flag burning in the streets... "Burn that rag! Burn that rag!" supporters of the group yelled.
Protestor lit flag on fire, then lit himself on fire, catching others on fire. Flames extinguished by firefighters. No serious injuries.— Cleveland Police (@Cleveland Police) 1469056774.0
Moments after the flag was set on fire, officers charged in to put it out with an extinguishing spray that some in the crowd thought was pepper spray because of similarities in the design of canisters and the eye irritation caused by the fire-suppression substance."You're on fire! You're on fire, stupid!" a Cleveland officer shouted at a protester while firing the extinguishing spray.
Mind you, these flag burning crybabies were hurling insults and attacking the cops. The best part? Those same cops saved them from roasting their own faces off. Hilarious? Yes. Surprising? Hardly. Protesters aren't exactly known for being smarties (see Women Idiotically Strip Down... to Protest Trump?).
Hilarity aside, notice how the cops hesitated not one second before coming to the rescue? After all, it is the protester's right to charbroil himself if he so pleases. The police didn't have to get involved - but they did - even after having been assaulted by the very people they'd later save. Yeah, that's called grace. It isn't the first time police have protected undeserving cretins. Won't be the last either. There's a pattern here: the people who hate cops the most also need them the most. Lest they do something moronic like, say, fry themselves silly. Something to think about amid all the anti-police tension.
Also think about facts sometimes. Turns out, they matter:
