Cory Booker Claims Releasing the Memo Would be Treasonous...
The legendary memo is on the verge of being released. You know, the one that alleges the FBI is full of deep state operatives who despise Trump. For some reason, leftists are resisting the push to make the memo public. Cory Booker is dialing the #resistance up to 11 and pulling the treason card. Yes, for reals.
Sen. Cory Booker is deeply concerned about the more-than-likely impending release of the Nunes memo, which Republicans claim reveals that the FBI used underhanded tactics to surveil members of the incoming Trump administration. On SiriusXM’s Make It Plain with Mark Thompson, Booker said that the release of the memo would be “tantamount to treasonous.”
“This fury and fire that has been created within the right around this [memo] is to me tantamount to a dangerous conspiracy theory that can undermine the important work our Justice Department and intelligence communities do,” Booker said.
Well, if the FBI actually is chock full o' leftists with an axe to grind against the Donald, a good old-fashioned undermining seems in order. They've already undermined themselves by showing preference to their comrades. Allegedly. Also, going out of their way to be a throbbing hemorrhoid on the rear end of the Trump administration. Again, allegedly.
According to Booker's logic, I guess we should have just let Watergate slide because it would undermine the office of the president. Except Democrats are still incessantly reminding us of Tricky Dick Nixon's takedown almost a half a century later. Most likely because they're hoping for a repeat with Trump.
We've seen plenty of evidence the left worships government like a cult, regardless how corrupt it may or may not be. As it stands, there's talk of G-men shilling for Hillary. Also, FBI officials resigning under suspicious circumstances. If all these tales are a giant lie-sandwich, then there's no reason for the left to be against the memo's release.
