Remember when Hillary Clinton said, and I quote, "Donald Trump refused to say he'd respect the result of the election. That's a direct threat to our democracy?" Good, because life moves pretty fast...

So, while you were decompressing after the Election and getting ready for the holidays, Green Party Presidential Candidate Jill Stein was raising money to "fund a recount operation." If would appear that, since Ms. Stein was running the left's version of the Tea Party, she's starting with fundraising scams.

Well, guess who is joining the recount?

Hillary Clinton's campaign said Saturday it will take part in efforts to push for recounts in several key states, joining with Green Party candidate Jill Stein, who has raised millions of dollars to have votes counted again in Wisconsin. But, in a post on Medium, Marc Elias, the campaign's counsel, said the campaign's own investigation has not uncovered any evidence of hacking of voting systems. In the campaign's most detailed comments to date on the recount, Elias wrote that while the campaign was not going to contest the results itself, it has decided now to take part in the effort to "ensure that it is fair to all sides."

Ah, yes I see. The Clinton Campaign sees no evidence of hacking. However, to be "fair to all sides," they are going to wink to their overly emotional supporters that there may have beem some shady stuff going on. Call me old fashioned, but calling the result into question even though you yourself don't question the results? That sounds like an actual direct threat to our democracy.

Also, the United States is a constitutional representative republic. Not a democracy. So it would be swell if we could knock off all this "democracy" mumbo jumbo crap. Okay?

The irony of all this?

If someone wants to tell me how this effort isn't going to be anything but damaging, I'll wait. What it does for certain is illustrate how pathetic the left is. The recount effort is a clear demonstration that this pity party of "Boo hoo we lost" goes all the way to Cankles herself. Behold your Democrat party.

But let's be real. Mostly it's just a nasty scam which will provide even more ammo to the tantrum throwing protesters who honestly believe they got snookered with Hillary's loss. Remember, they're also trying to undo the Electoral College.
