Watch: Man “Chokes Out” Coyote And Throws It In Dumpster To Save His Chihuahua From Attack
Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear red bathrobes while they “choke out” coyotes to save their Chihuahua from becoming the dinner of an opportunist feeder.
A man named Timothy Snipe let out Roxie, his Chihuahua, to go to the potty. Roxie is actually a lot tougher than she looks because if you watch the video, it is almost as if she instigated the attack.
“[Roxie] started barking, and I was like what is she barking at,” Snipe said, according to Fox 59.

“In the woods, Roxie could see what Snipe couldn’t at that moment — a coyote ready to attack.
‘Instead of running towards me, she ran towards the coyote,’ explained Snipe.
It didn’t take long before Snipe jumped into action. His heroic efforts were caught on Ring camera.
‘The coyote jumped on me and bit me on my leg, and I wrestled it down, I choked him out,’ he said.
Snipe got control of the coyote, picking it up by the tail and putting it in a nearby dumpster until he could get help.
He ultimately killed the coyote, he told WCBD. The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control collected the animal, which is now being tested for rabies.”
Couple of things we need to dissect. How did Snipe know that Roxie had no clue about the coyote? That is unclear and although he probably wants to think that Roxie is too innocent to start that sort of dramarama, the facts seem to say otherwise.
The coyote died. I don’t care because a coyote killed my family cat once. I hate coyotes so I am all here for this man doing what he had to do to save his pooch.
“I knew I could’ve been alright, even if I would’ve gotten bit and gotten rabies or something, but if [Roxie] had gotten bit, it was over,” Snipe said, according to the outlet.
Now look at Roxie’s cute and edgy coyote-proof vest.
I mean if that does not scream trendsetter, I do not know what does.
Snipe claims he would do it again to save Roxie. And I am sure he would.
“Once you get a pet, they’re automatically a part of the family and this is my girl, this is our girl,” he said.
Okay, try not to cry with that.
Now enough with the cuteness overload. Did anyone else catch the fact that Snipe had to get NINE rabies shots? Um, what?! That is a lot. I thought it was only four shots. But then again, he is a big guy so maybe he needs double. I don’t know. All I know is, that not all heroes wear capes.
