Ron DeSantis vs Donald Trump: Are these primary polls being manipulated?
Crowder kicked off this Wednesday morning with a segment on Trump's indication that he will not debate in the primaries, and some recent polls between Trump and DeSantis. Crowder explained that he likes both Trump and DeSantis for different reasons, and could be persuaded on both of them. But he would rather see DeSantis in the governor's seat than not, and would rather see Trump having some type of political influence, whether that be as the candidate or not. He also emphasized he'd rather have the focus be more on Biden than the feud.
Crowder and crew then played a clip of Trump bragging about how he helped DeSantis win the governor's race and he's very disappointed in him for not giving him credit on this. Crowder pointed out he isn't entirely wrong on this loyalty issue. Gerald also brought up Trump's recent post about the primary debates:
"I see that everybody is talking about the Republican debates, but nobody got my approval, or the approval of the Trump Campaign, before announcing them. When you're leading by seemingly insurmountable numbers, and you have hostile Networks with angry, TRUMP & MAGA hating anchors asking the "questions", why subject yourself to being libeled and abused? Also, the second debate is being held at the Reagan Library, the chairman of which is, amazingly, Fred Ryan, publisher of the Washington Post. NO!"
Crowder highlighted the importance of calling out the media, but also maintained the importance of showing up to debate. Gerald then highlighted recent polls showing Trump doing much better than DeSantis- Trump at 46% and DeSantis at 31%. But according to other polls, Trump would actually lose against Biden, while DeSantis would win. Crowder pointed out the reason people don't trust these polls since Trump won nearly all bellweather counties last election, and by nearly every marker, should have won.
There was a whole lot more to this segment, so be sure to tune in to the whole episode on Rumble.
