Just this week it was reported that Taco Bell will no longer keep its dining room open in Oakland because of lawlessness running rampant in the city. The same day, it was reported that many business owners in the city are refusing to pay taxes until officials do something about the rising crime.

Coincidentally, The Daily Caller just obtained documents that show that Alameda District Attorney Pamela Price “provided training materials to employees teaching that the criminal justice system is rooted in racism and slavery.”

It is probably safe to assume that the rise in crime is directly correlated with the training materials.

According to The Daily Caller:

A California district attorney’s office provided training materials to employees teaching that the criminal justice system is rooted in racism and slavery, documents obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation show.

The presentation, used by Alameda District Attorney Pamela Price’s office to train victim-witness advocates and titled “A New Paradigm For Public Safety Restorative Justice Racial Justice Act Training,” teaches that “the carceral state grew out of chattel slavery” and makes several references to racial bias in the criminal justice system. Price, who is Soros-funded, currently faces a recall effort after residents expressed frustration with her policies, which they allege led to an increase in crime.

The progressive prosecutor movement is contributing to the downfall of several major cities in a way that Americans never thought was possible.

Victim-witness advocates “serve as the liaison between the victims, prosecutor, law enforcement and other criminal justice agencies,” according to the Alameda County district attorney’s website. The training is currently in use by Price’s office, a spokesperson confirmed to the DCNF.

One slide in the presentation asserts that “modern policing grew out of slave patrols” and claims that “slavery was never fully abolished in the US,” citing the 13th Amendment, which allows for the application of “involuntary servitude” with convicted criminals.

I would laugh at how naive that statement is except that it is intended to indoctrinate prosecutors and employees who work in the justice system. That is far from comical, it is frightening.

Another slide titled “The Myth Of Black Male Criminality” asserts that “Americans can tolerate mass incarceration because it happens to ‘others’ and is justified by this narrative.” The training also claims that black men are disproportionately targeted by the criminal justice system, highlighting a statistic showing that black men make up 6.5% of the U.S. population and 40.2% of “prison population.”

The craziest thing about that statement is that black Americans are disproportionately underrepresented for the amount of crime they commit. But you cannot say that in Oakland because that would be considered “the myth of black male criminality.”

All of these claims are just a bunch of gobbledygook. The fact of the matter is that black males commit violent crimes at a disproportionate rate while being less than seven percent of the population. For example, blacks committed over half of homicides between 1980 and 2008, according to the DOJ.

But what the media does not tell you is that the majority of the victims are also black. So failing to prosecute black people appropriately results in more black people being victimized.

It is incredibly naive to claim that the representation in the jail system must equate to the direct correlation of the population. That is not how math works. It must be correlated to the crime rate. And that fact is so blatantly obvious I cannot believe that needs to be said in response to claims made by an elected official.

Crime is surging in Oakland. And clearly, the goal of the DA is to get people out of jail rather than prosecute. Subsequently, law-abiding citizens are suffering and increasingly falling victim to this all because of the ‘myth of the lack of criminality.”

This is why Price is facing a recall effort. And let’s hope that the majority of voters can make that connection.
