As sanctimonious as the left is (especially the entertainment industry) toward political issues, no one rushed to denounce Harvey Weinstein's decades of sexual harassment. Only now are publicists cobbling together scripts for "clueless" actors, actresses and Hollywood Gliteroti to read, so they might pretend they had no idea sexual assault was going on right under their own noses. Or desks. Uh huh.

However, if you ask Daily Show creator Lizz Winstead, there are two people we haven't heard from yet:

"I feel it happens a lot with women's issues and I feel really disappointed in both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton."

"If you took money from this person, because this person had really good progressive goals that were in line with the politics, great. When you find out that this person is a monster, especially a monster towards women, why wouldn't you denounce it?"

"Otherwise, you will never have credibility when trying to denounce, oh, I don't know, a president who talks about the freedom to sexually assault a woman in a tape that we hear on Access Hollywood."

Obama's eldest daughter interned for Harvey. So at least a "OMG, I can't believe I let our daughter intern with such a creep" would've been appropriate as soon as this story broke. But the Obama silence speaks volumes. It's like they *gasp* knew about it!

And Hillary? She's seems able to denounce everyone else lately for her loss, but has said zipity do dah about Harvey (see Brilliant Video Montage of Hillary Saying “I would’ve won if…” Exposes Her Total Narcissism and Hillary Clinton Also Blames President Obama for Her Election Loss).

But credibility, schmedibility. Why would Hillary denounce this sexual abuser when she hasn't even denounced the one she's still married to? Am I right?
