Someone left Donald Trump alone in the White House for two days. Resulting in Trump apparently questioning a seven-year old's belief in Santa Claus. Kinda. Maybe? I'll be honest, while the Internet was losing its collective s*** over the latest thing, I was enjoying Christmas with my family like a normal person. But Trump said a Trump thing, so everyone has to share stupid takes. To be fair, most takes were humorous or at least snarky. Donald Trump debating Santa with a little girl? There's only a certain degree of seriousness it deserves, like two points of serious, eight points of LOL. Unless you are Dan Rather (see Dan Rather Demands Trump Respect the Press! Hello Irony). The humorless old coot thought this was a perfect time to start a super serious debate on climate change.

I'd call this peak 2018. But there are still five days left. And I don't want to tempt fate or issue challenges for who could be the biggest ass of the year. We're already having a hard time parring down the dumb to a top five.

Bottom line is people shouldn't tweet before they've had their prunes for breakfast. Also, it's Christmas. Give it a rest.
