There is a lot of chirping out on these internet streets today about Jimmy Kimmel on the Oscars. Kimmel, who hosts the progressive political podcast "Jimmy Kimmel Live," said a bunch of things that a) weren't funny, b) isn't surprising, since Kimmel hasn't been funny since The Man Show, and c) it was the Oscars, so meh. Instead of wasting bandwidth over someone who I'm already bored with, let's focus on a comedian who ackshually is funny. Dana Carvey.

Carvey does a podcast with David Spade called "Superfly," and he nailed a perfect Joe Biden impersonation (he does a great Fauci too). Specifically, Biden flip-flopping on his border crisis, needing a script to answer the press, and struggling to say things like words. I won't bore you with a transcript. It takes away from Carvey's on-point delivery. But one of the words is "Whattaya Dog Pace."

He does a better Biden than Biden does Biden.

Which, as a side note...

Carvey's impersonation works on two different levels. It's everything we make fun of Biden for here. Being a doddering, senile, old coot who doesn't know where he is, why he's there, or who pooped in his pants. Yet for some reason is still given the nuclear codes. Though we add 27% sniffing little girls' hair like the creepy pervert Biden is jokes.

But he also presents "Biden" in a friendly, humorous way. One that doesn't make the audience realize that they're laughing at a world leader who's a doddering, senile, old coot who doesn't know where he is, why he's there, or who pooped in his pants. It may not sound like much. But I also am certain Kate McKinnon never thought playing Hillary as an inauthentic biyazich was unflattering either.

Compare that to the partisan, bitter hatred from Jimmy Kimmel where he sounds like he is attacking half the country. There was no "joke" he told at the Oscars that sounded any different than the kind of angry rant you'd see on CNN or by the shrill harpies on "The View."
