It's all about the simple things in life. A nice cup of coffee. A little league game when the weather is just right. And UFC President Dana White going off on a foul-mouthed tirade about how much the media sucks at life. These are a few of my favorite things.

White was a guest on Bussin' with the Boys. His broader point about successful people not listening to critics is important. I believe it was Kierkegaard, or maybe it was Nick Hexum, who said, "f*ck the naysayers 'cuz they don't mean a thing."

And the style the media brings is that of people who earn every poll that names them the least trusted institution in America.

"If the media tells you you have something that's going to fail, it's definitely gonna f*cking win," claims Dana. "The media are the dumbest, know nothing, do nothing, never f*cking build nothing motherf*ckers on Planet Earth."

He goes on to suggest you think about who these people are. "When you think about 'the media,' who are they? Where did they come from? Why does their opinion matter? What have they ever done? What have they ever created? What have they ever built? They are a bunch of f*cking zeros who sit around and write stories about people who are actually doing sh*t."

The best thing about Dana's rant is that we've seen him put it into practice. At the beginning of 2020, when the pandemic hit, the media had their claw out, attacking him for trying to find ways to keep his company going. They said he was making a huge mistake not shutting down. To the point where they were trying to sabotage the UFC.

Dana ignored the media. The result? The UFC wound up having their best year ever (up until that point) and was the only sports league that kept events going.

As the man says, f*ck the media.
