Silfredo A. Castillo Martinez was a daycare worker. WAS is the keyword here. Because Martinez was arrested for child pornography INCLUDING having a video made with one of the twelve-year-olds in his care. As you fight the urge to put your smartphone through a wall right now, police are hoping to speak to others who may have been victims.

Yes, the pedophile (alleged) was employed by a daycare center for over a decade. Eleven years. He just celebrated his anniversary. CBS News interviewed one mother who almost enrolled her three sons there, but something felt off: "You know, like you feel as a mother."

Martinez was arrested in May. Martinez told the police, "I download child porn movies. I got it from Telegram in different chat rooms."

Police found 10 files involving children. Nine were boys between the ages of 7-12. One of those twelve-year-old boys was a child from the daycare center who was placed in Martinez's care. The tenth was of an infant.

Martinez is in jail unable to make the $100,000 bail. So at least there is that. Unlike in California, where the daycare worker who (allegedly) molested MMA fighter Cain Velasquez's four-year-old is walking the streets while Velasquez is in jail for attempted murder. In California, they hate guns more than they hate child molesters.

As with way too many of these cases, especially when they involve a school or daycare setting, police are concerned there may have been more victims. They are encouraging those victims to come forward.

If found guilty, Martinez will be sentenced to life in general population with a sign around his neck saying, "I like kiddie porn." At least, that's what the punishment should be.
