Dear Newly Tranny-Friendly White House...
No, stop that. We're not talking about the President not being manly or Hillary's infamous pants suits.
What we are talking about is the latest in the tragic-comedy saga of the Obama Administration. As of this past Wednesday, staff and visitors of the First Family now have the option of using a newly created "Gender Neutral Restroom" in the White House's Executive Office.
I wonder if the President allows his two young girls to use this particular restroom? Would you want your teenage daughters using the same restroom as a 50 year old man? Of course not. And not because you hate men, or women, or men who think they're women or whatever else. But because there are some things in society that were once considered sacred for a reason.
Could it be that maybe, just sometimes, we get so caught up in LGBT rights that we forget that even we straight people have rights? We may not have a parade or a flag, but we're people, too.
You can believe you're anything you want. Heck, you can think you're a blue, purple, and green polka-dotted teddy bear. You're free to do that. The rest of us are free to not have to perform the most personal of bodily functions in the same room with you.
And of particular note, after the passing of the Affordable Care Act, the White House couldn't find room for their newly mandated nursing mother's room. Instead, Christian Broadcasting Network and CBC/Radio-Canada agreed to use their shared booth as a pumping space.
Priorities, people. We have space for a gender neutral bathroom, just not for our nursing moms.
