Heavy metal legend triples down on opposing gender surgery for minors, tells haters "I'm not gonna take it"
Dee Snider is not gonna take it from gay rights activists (no look at me, he made the joke) calling him a homophobe for having a single opinion they disagree with. The Twisted Sister frontman is now TRIPLING DOWN on his belief that minors should not be allowed to chop their genitals off.
No, Snider is not a conservative. He is pro-gun control and anti-Ron DeSantis. But more important than politics, his mantra of "if it's not metal, it's crap" got me through '85 - '93 and if I had a textbook covered in a brown paper bag in junior high, it had the Twisted Sister logo doodled on it. Also, "The Price" is the mad notes.
Unlike leftists, I don't demand total fealty. If all Snider and I agree on is that maaaaaaaaybe trans activism has been allowed to go too far, okay.
What did Dee Snider say about trans kids?
When Kiss frontman Paul Stanley tweeted out his common-sense statement that maaaaaaybe trans activism has gone on far, Snider agreed: "You know what? There was a time where I 'felt pretty' too. Glad my parents didn't jump to any rash conclusions!"
Snider, for his think crime, was uninvited from being the grand marshall in San Francisco's Pride Parade. And while Paul Stanley has backtracked -- the Star Child has apparently gone from crushing pussy in the 70s to being one in his 70s -- Snider stood his ground, saying he was "not aware the Transgender community expects fealty and total agreement with all their beliefs and any variation or deviation is considered 'transphobic.'"
Since this all happened, California wants to take your seven-year-old away from you if you don't "affirm" their "gender." Perhaps Dee Snider has a point.
What is Dee Snider saying about trans kids now?
Snider tells Fox News he is standing by his comments. And while he maintains he is still an LGBTQ ally, they are wrong about this one thing.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, the outspoken rock star claimed that allowing kids to make life-altering medical decisions at such a young age is evidence that "irresponsible parenting is the norm in society."
"We’re all making mistakes here but as a parent there are certain things that you come to know, and one thing you come to know is that your kids don’t know everything when they’re in elementary school. They don’t know everything when they’re in junior high school. They don’t know everything when they’re in high school. ... Certainly, the younger you are, the less ability you have to make really the smartest decisions, lifetime decisions."
Kudos to Dee Snider for standing his ground. As we saw with Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Anthony Bass, an apology is never enough for these people. Saying that children are NOT equipped to decide on permanently life-altering surgery is not -phobic. It's common sense. It's something normie-Americans all agree on.
