• On March 25, the Minneapolis Federation of Teachers ratified a collective bargaining agreement with Minneapolis Public schools.

    • 60 college credit hours

  • A scholarship program to help current high-school teachers earn their masters.
• DeSantis’ likely 2022 opponent, Nikki Fried, accused the governor of lowering teaching standards:
  • “Let me be clear: we should not be lowering the bar for teachers in Florida. Instead of paying teachers what they’re worth and agreeing to stop politicizing their jobs.”
  • “It’s not rocket science: we have a teacher shortage crisis because DeSantis has turned classrooms into battlegrounds to fight his culture wars and divide our state.”

  • Let’s take a look at some claims the left is making about the teacher shortage and set the record straight.

TRUTH #1:Republican governors enacted new laws BECAUSE teachers across the country are pushing divisive CRT.

• Decatur, Georgia: The district’s ‘equity plan’ encourages teachers to “normalize racial equity.”

TRUTH: Teachers had far more absurd precautions, time, and coddling than other professions which aren’t seeing the same exodus.
