Congresswomen want you to believe they're fighters in the cringiest Democrat video you'll see this week (so far)
Remember when Democrats used to be good at social media? In my past life as a GOP digital consultant, the primary way I got clients was because, at the time, while the left was excelling at the internets, not only was the right not excelling at the internets, they weren't using the internets at all. It was an easy point of entry. But that was then.
Now, Republicans have swept into power on the coattails of the most media-savvy politician ever, while Democrats have turned into the walking embodiment of the "how do you do fellow kids" meme. The latest offering is the cringetastic "Street Fighter" piece of content created by Democrat congresswomen.
It's been a rough week for Democrat digital operations, hence the use of "so far" in the title. In case you forgot:

Next up? CHOOSE YOUR FIGHTER!
No, no, no, I wasn't telling YOU to choose your fighter. I was repeating the title "Choose Your Fighter" of this video of Democrats illustrating how they are "fighting" for Americans in the derpapaloozaiest way imaginable.
Whoever is in charge of the Democrat social media stuff lately is doing a superb job. Just really fine work. pic.twitter.com/HPa6jBNJRi

I don't want to mock this too badly. It's like picking on the kid whose mother makes him wear a helmet on the school bus. Sure, it's fun to do. But sometimes, it's best to let the low-hanging fruit go. I'm just curious what the strategy is behind this.
I understand Donald Trump's podcast strategy. A vast audience of apolitical people wasn’t being reached. By having long-form conversations with Trump and Vance about their actual vision compared to the out-of-context partisan coverage in the media, potential voters could see that the candidates were not the same as the corporate media portrayed them. It turns out that Trump and Vance were normal, while their opponents most certainly were not. As a result, that apolitical audience became a voting bloc.
What exactly is the Democrat strategy behind this? Who is the constituency they are trying to reach? At first glance, you would think younger voters. Do they think a TikTok of old people trying too hard would appeal to those younger voters? Help me understand!
