Democrats insist they aren't after your guns. A fatter lie was never spoken. Like Rosie O'Donnell claiming she doesn't crush boxes of Little Debbie donuts in between hate-tweets. The left has a burning disgust for the pew pews. Thus all the marches, campaigns, and regulations aimed towards stomping the Second Amendment to dust.

This politician's push for a gunless dystopia sums up leftist anti-gunnery quite nicely.

A Democratic congressman has proposed outlawing “military-style semiautomatic assault weapons” and forcing existing owners to sell their weapons or face prosecution, a major departure from prior gun control proposals that typically exempt existing firearms.

In a USA Today op-ed entitled “Ban assault weapons, buy them back, go after resisters,” Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., argued Thursday that prior proposals to ban assault weapons “would leave millions of assault weapons in our communities for decades to come.”

Swalwell proposes that the government should offer up to $1,000 for every weapon covered by a new ban, estimating that it would take $15 billion to buy back roughly 15 million weapons — and “criminally prosecute any who choose to defy [the buyback] by keeping their weapons.”

According to this douche rocket's plan, those who dare cling to their rights will be punished. Thou shalt not defy the anti-gun regime.

To hear chumps like David Hogg tell it, this isn't indicative of the anti-gun movement. This Democratic trash wizard is part of a fringe group. Except such extremes are clearly becoming the norm for the leftist mainstream. A few examples:

Congressman Eric makes no mention about whether Democrats will be giving up their own armed security detail. Safety for me but not for thee. Gun control crones have taken a page out of Venezuela's book by arming itself while trying to de-gun the rest of us peasants. All the while claiming it's the Trump presidency that's dictatorial.
