Donald Trump has spent about 24 hours in the Oval Office. That hasn't stopped leftists from doing anything and everything to stifle our newest President. A Congressman from Maryland with a Brillo Pad on his head is already calling to impeach the Donald. Yes, you read that right.

A Democratic lawmaker plans to initiate impeachment proceedings against President-elect Donald Trump as soon as possible, according to a Wednesday interview with The Young Turks.

In an interview with The Young Turks. Ah. Well, that makes more sense, then.

Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin won election in Maryland’s 8th Congressional District for the first time in 2016, and it appears the former state Senate majority whip wants to make his mark, by impeaching the president-elect. Raskin currently serves as a professor of constitutional law at the American University law school.

This just goes to our repeated case-making that leftists don't actually care about anything other than witch hunting people they dislike. Becuase Rep. Raskin was gung ho to impeach a man who had yet to take official office. Classy.

“Right now it looks pretty obvious that he’s on a collision course with the Emoluments Clause,” Raskin asserted. “He has refused to divest himself of tens or hundreds of millions of dollars of business interests he has around the world doing business with foreign governments.”

Trump announced in a press conference early January that he planned to cede control of all of this business interests to his two sons, Donald Trump, Jr., and Eric Trump. Ivanka Trump moved to Washington, D.C., with Jared Kushner, who has a place in the White House as a key adviser.

Funny how the left is suddenly concerned with currying political favors. Especially when you consider how those same leftists were all about electing a psycho hose beast who is famous for doing just such a thing. Hillary Clinton's front Global Initiative received numerous payoffs contributions from foreign donors. Some of whom from countries that oppress women and the LGBT communities, by the way. Yet the media and greater left made nary a peep about it.

Does that mean Trump currying favor is okay, just because he's a Republican? Not at all. And if President Trump participates in activities which are illegal, we'll call it out. Because unlike these liberal hacks, we try to be intellectually honest.

It's worth noting too that after getting denied the White House, those foreign donors stopped feeling so charitable. To the point where the Clinton Initiative closed its doors... Some coincidence, eh?
