State Democrats Want To Put Vending Machines Containing Condoms In Kindergarten Schools. Read That Again.
If Maryland Democrats get their way, it may soon be lawful for Kindergarten Schools to install vending machines for contraceptive purposes, such as to provide condoms. It’s unclear why there is a dire need to decriminalize this but the fact that they believe this is a cause worth fighting for is unfathomable.

According to WBFF:
To the chagrin of the Republican Party, the Maryland House of Delegates passed legislation Friday to repeal the prohibition of selling condoms in public school vending machines.
“Condoms for kiddies,” Del. Kathy Szeliga, a Baltimore County Republican, said before the bill passed. “This goes too far.”
Sponsored by Del. Nicole Williams, a Prince George’s County Democrat, House Bill 380 would allow contraceptives to be sold in nursery school, preschool, elementary and high school vending machines. It also removes the misdemeanor criminal penalty of $1,000.
Even if there was some way they could justify this, which there is not, this is still not something the government should prioritize. Nonetheless, they have decided this is the hill they wish to die on and it’s deranged, to say the very least.
The bill does not mandate that schools sell condoms or other contraceptive devices in their vending machines. Individual school systems would be responsible for making those decisions.
One must question why there is such a desire to provide these vending machines when the people purchasing them are around kids all day. Even if the intent to use the product is lawful, it’s still concerning that this must be purchased on the same campus as five-year-olds.
Additionally, this makes no sense because teachers can just buy condoms at the store, there is absolutely zero need for this to be in a vending machine in a school or daycare and it’s totally insane someone came up with this idea.
To say Maryland Democrats have lost their minds would be an understatement; calling this insane wouldn't even begin to summarize it.
