We would like to believe that America is somehow immune from the authoritarian disease that is sweeping the globe in a more pernicious fashion than any horrific COVID variant ever could. We would like to believe that Americans would never allow such ghastly abuses of power by our government, that we would never allow one another to be put upon in a fashion reminiscent of the Jews under Nazi Germany. But we aren’t. And it could very well happen, and a new poll illustrates this horrifying reality.

Canada, when they aren’t locking up Christians, is tracking its citizens’ every move. Germany is asking everyone for papers to participate in public life. And Australia is, well, pretty much looking to form the Fourth Reich. And here in America, Democrats would like nothing more than to mandate vaccinations, confine the unvaxxed to their homes, lock up people who refused to get the vax, and take children from their parents if they aren’t vaxxed!

This isn’t a joke.

This poll wasn’t some Babylon Bee fever dream.

This is the reality of the latent despotism inherent in the modern Democratic Party.

Is this the kind of policies 81,000,000 Americans voted for and supported? Or were Americans sold a bill of goods that they are quickly realizing was actually a bag full of radical totalitarian measures? Let’s hope for the latter because this is beyond insane. This is terrifying!
