Trump hasn't even started on his Day One ish of mass deportationing illegal immigrants, yet woke blue city mayors have no time to waste in performative activism. Denver Mayor Mike Johnston (not to be confused with MAGA Mike Johnson, our Speaker of the House) pledges that if it means blocking the Trump Administration from removing people are are here illegally, he will go to jail if need be!

He made the claim during a local media appearance.

Whoops, wrong X-Post. That's of a Denver "newcomer" who was arrested for raping a teenager. Remember, this is the same Mayor Johnston who said the problem isn't the influx of newcomers, but it's the American citizens saying mean things about the influx of those newcomers.

Where the unironic comedy enters the fray is that Johnston has had to defund the police to pay for the influx of illegals. The fire department, too. AND he's had to lay off American workers. AND he's had to cut services for American residents.

In return, those newcomers refused to leave an encampment unless their demands were met, because the city shelter was not to their liking. They had a spokesshe/her and everything.

The group’s top demand was that they “cook their own food with fresh, culturally appropriate ingredients provided by the City instead of premade meals — rice, chicken, flour, oil, butter, tomatoes, onions, etc. … Also people will not be punished for bringing in & eating outside food,” messages shared with the outlet said.

The group also insisted on unlimited shower access without time limits, claiming, “We are not in the military, we’re civilians.”

The funniest demand is that they are demanding an end to “sheriffs sleeping inside & monitoring 24/7” because they “are not criminals & won’t be treated as such.”

The lecture from the left and the media (but I repeat myself) is that it is a conspiracy...

...to say Democrats are importing illegals so that they have an additional voting base and/or to fudge the census numbers so that radical leftists get more congressional representation. They have to do something to stem the tide of Americans fleeing California and New York for states that don't suck as much.

Do you know what helps fuel those conspiracies (that aren't conspiracies, but I know that you know that)? The lengths Democrat politicians will go to to prevent anyone from doing anything to stop the influx of illegals pouring across the border.

Mike Johnston, the Democrat Mayor of Denver, says he will go to jail rather than let Trump deport people who are here illegally. Those terms are acceptable.
