A girl's hockey team in Massachusetts will not compete in their next scheduled game because the opposing team has a male player.

Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School District is putting safety over foolish ideology and forfeited a game where they would have competed against a male athlete.

According to WCVB:

Coaches and captains of a Massachusetts high school field hockey team decided to forfeit an upcoming game, citing safety concerns because their opponent's roster includes a member of the opposite sex.

Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School girls were scheduled to play Somerset Berkley Regional High School on Sept. 17, but for the first time under a new district policy, decided to skip the contest, Dighton-Rehoboth Superintendent Bill Runey announced.

"The District supports this decision as there are times where we have to place a higher value on safety than on victory. We understand this forfeit will impact our chances for a league championship and possibly playoff eligibility, but we remain hopeful that other schools consider following suit to achieve safety and promote fair competition for female athletes," Runey wrote.

Even if this was the compassionate thing to do, it still puts their physical safety at risk and should not be allowed. However, the left demands this must occur even though people have already been seriously injured by this ideology.

All schools in the league should follow suit and refuse to play against any team with a male player. These sorts of acts of civil disobedience must become a regular occurrence, even though it comes at a price.

Members of the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School Committee enacted a policy on Jun. 25, which allows players or coaches to opt out of competitions against an opposing team that includes a member of the opposite sex. The policy was put in place after another field hockey player was injured last fall in a game against Swampscott High School.

Last year a high school athlete had her teeth knocked out by a male player during a field hockey game. This is not something that usually happens when playing against other females, and is not something that should happen ever again.

How many more people have to get hurt before the left realizes that biological sex is a thing? Why must they condone the blatant refusal of anatomy to affirm indescribable feelings that don’t make sense? And why does no one care about women’s rights anymore?

League organizers should ban the other team from competing until they prevent the male player from being on the team but clearly, students have more common sense than the “adults” in charge.
