World Leaders Announce Official Plan To Impose Digital Currencies And IDs Throughout The Globe

The conspiracy theorists were right once again as the Group of 20 leaders have agreed to a plan to eventually impose digital currencies and IDs on their respective populations, despite fears that governments will monitor peoples' spending with this.
"Digital IDs could further financial inclusion," said in a document of official policy recommendations, "especially in low- and middle-income countries, where insufficient documentation is often a barrier to account ownership."
"Inclusive access rules by digital ID systems and reasonable costs for both public and private entities would enable broad adoption of these solutions by different types of providers."
Don’t worry, this is all about ‘inclusion.’ I highly doubt this will turn into some sort of a black mirror Chinese social credit system. Not possible.
This is part of a recommendation for "Digital Public Infrastructure," including "digital ID, digital payments, and data exchange in the financial sector."
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen called for an international regulatory body, digital ID akin to vaccine passports, and for cooperation to address challenges presented by AI.
“Many of you are familiar with the COVID-19 digital certificate. The EU developed it for itself. The model was so functional and so trusted that 51 countries on four continents adopted it for free,” von der Leyen said. “Today, the WHO uses it as a global standard to facilitate mobility in times of health threats. I want to thank Dr. Tedros [WHO Director-General] again for the excellent cooperation."
Would a health threat be someone who is not vaccinated? If it is, does that mean an unvaccinated person's digital banking system would be turned off? This won’t restrict one's purchasing power, would it?
The Cato Institute Central Bank Digital Currencies National Survey found that only 16 percent of Americans support digital currencies. And nearly 70 percent would oppose it if the government started to monitor their purchases.
I am sure all of this comes from a place of compassion and there is no evil intention behind it whatsoever. This is in no way a way for governments to control people. Not even a chance. Get that idea out of your head before someone labels you a conspiracy theorist.
But all jokes aside, this is an awful idea and no one should accept it.
They claim this will further financial inclusion, whatever that even means. But really it will probably hurt the communities it claims to help the most.
Giving someone access to an account does nothing for wealth if they have no money.
This will just increase surveillance and digitize every part of your life while denying you access to basic resources.
There will essentially be one massive global database, in some public-private partnerships, where unelected entities will not only profit off of your most sensitive information but have the ability to regulate and punish you.
Even if this was only intended to be used innocently, what is to stop evil people from hacking into the system? There is totally the potential for massive data breaches.
Governments are meant to protect our rights, and this will likely do just the opposite. We should not allow AI to control our communities and lives. And fortunately, most people don’t want this because they know how obviously evil this sounds.
