There’s something to be said about those who vehemently oppose the Florida “Parental Rights in Education” bill. They aren’t the brightest crayons in the box, nor are they the kind of people anyone should be looking at for some kind of moral guidance. Most of them haven’t even read the bill, and it shows when they continue to call it the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

Disney has opposed the bill ever since a small cohort of woke employees pushed them to dive head-first into political issues and now vows to fight for the bill’s repeal. One might wonder why Disney cares so much about a bill that has absolutely nothing to do with them or their employees. Well, it might have a little something to do with what some of their wackadoodle employees are saying.

Take Nadine Smith for example. This woman thinks Republicans in Florida are moving toward criminalizing being gay and snatching kids from gay people.

“When they can erase you, when they can criminalize your existence, when they can demonize who you are, the next step is to criminalize you and take your kids.”

She says this is already happening in Texas, but I’m not aware of anyone who has had their children taken by the state from parents solely because the parents were gay. I’d like someone to provide me with that information if it exists, but I won’t hold my breath.

She also makes a point of referencing comments made by DeSantis’ spokesperson who called the bill’s opposition “groomers.” Smith doesn’t seem to agree with the label.

“Our leadership […] has been so welcoming to my not-so-secret gay agenda. […] I was just, wherever I could, just basically adding queerness. […] No one would stop me.”

This woman probably played an active role in getting the gay kiss put back into Lightyear. Perhaps there’s something to calling those who oppose the bill “groomers.” Maybe it has something to do with literally grooming children, indoctrinating them into the LGBTQ+ club, forcing queer images in front of them, and injecting these conversations into their classrooms.

Needless to say, it’s a good thing DeSantis signed the bill into law. And as a side note, maybe parents shouldn’t be allowing their children to watch anything produced by Disney.
