Democrat Chairman Grilled By Jake Tapper on #MeToo Hypocrisy
Democrats are still out pushing their #MeToo-ism. If a female makes an accusation of sexual malarkey against a guy, we're supposed to "believe all women" and make his life a living hell.
Except those same Democrats don't seem to be taking the problems with sexual assault in their own party seriously. Jake Tapper gave Democrat Chairman Tom Perez a grilling on that very subject.
See for yourself:
Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez said on Sunday that the Democratic party has "never hesitated" to take action against fellow Democrats who have been accused of sexual misconduct.CNN's "State of the Union" anchor Jake Tapper asked Perez about the allegations against DNC vice-chair Congressman Keith Ellison (D., Minn.).
"The ex-girlfriend of your deputy at the DNC, congressman Keith Ellison, is accusing him of domestic abuse now, an investigation commissioned by the Minnesota Democratic party was, quote, unable to substantiate the claim of physical abuse. Is that good enough? What do you say to women in the democratic party who say, why is this guy still the vice chair of the DNC?" Tapper asked.
"What I say is that we should always take those complaints seriously and we do, and that's why an investigation was conducted," Perez responded. "That's why Congressman Ellison asked for a House ethics investigation. And Democrats have never hesitated to take action, unlike Republicans."
Slick Willy has been fighting off accusations of rapery since bellbottoms were still a thing. Teddy Kennedy sent a young lady to a watery grave and fled the scene. Like Jake Tapper, I wonder what Mr. Chairman has to say about those incidents.
These lefties virtue signal endlessly about their love for the ladyfolk. Yet, many of their biggest icons are famous for their douchebaggery toward the females. Seeing as those guys have D's after their names, they're worthy of due process. Thorough investigations. The benefit of the doubt.
On the other hand, if a conservative guy is in the running for the Supreme Court, the left takes a different approach.
This is a glorious instance of the left's double standard eating them alive. Not even Jake Tapper is buying the Democrats' conveniently ever-changing stance on whether or not to "believe all women." Tom Perez can try spinning this all he wants. None of us are falling for it.
Speaking of #MeToo:
