Dog rescued after scumbag left him tied to a fence during Hurricane Milton is doing better than ever

A Flordia State Trooper rescued a dog after finding him distressed and tied up to a pole, submerged in a puddle without a fighting chance against the hurricane.
I sure hope they get the person who was so cruel to tie a dog on a fence and leave him to fend for himself in a hurricane.
The Florida Governor is pretty irritated as well.
Please use your platforms to get the word out. Someone knows who did this. #Milton pic.twitter.com/0wIaFVQ3k0

One of the worst crimes a human can commit is leaving an innocent animal to defend itself. However, this is even worse because this dog had no fighting chance. Fortunately, this story has a good ending.
According to Fox News:
"It's OK, buddy. It's OK," the trooper is heard saying as he approached the dog, who was standing in what appeared to be a large puddle of water that covered his legs.
The dog began to growl as the trooper moved closer.
"I don't blame you. I don't blame you," the trooper said. "It's OK, buddy."
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis responded online after seeing the video.
"It is cruel for anyone to leave a dog tied to a post in the middle of an oncoming storm. FL will hold anyone who mistreats pets accountable," he wrote on X.
It's so heartbreaking to see someone treat an innocent animal like that. What was even the point? Were they hoping they would find him alive after all was said and done? It's a good thing Florida has someone like Ron DeSantis in charge, who wants the "book thrown at" them.
The most important thing is that the pup is doing okay and appears happier than ever.
In times of crisis, humanity often comes together and differences are set aside, showing the good in people. But on the other side of the spectrum, the worst may come out. This is a story of both of those sides, as the trooper did the former while the psycho who left the little pup proves the latter. It's unclear if the person responsible for this had the intent to harm the dog but there's no excuse.
That being said, the little guy is safe and his nightmare is over and we can only help the one responsible is held accountable.
