In case you missed it over the weekend, Donald Trump beat the rap. Not guilty. The former president was acquitted of impeachment charges. Again. The obvious result of the trial happened obviously. Hopefully, you were all too busy enjoying your weekend to notice. Some of our most favorite celebrities seem to have had nothing better to do. You'd think with all that money they'd shut off CNN and go to Chuck E. Cheese or something. But no. They are very cross with the 43 Republicans who listened to Democrats not make a compelling case (that included doctored footage and anonymous sources ... allegedly) and voted accordingly.

Our Hollywood betters expressed their disappointment like us little people do, via Twitter. Here are my five favorites.

The bartender says why the long face? A rabbi and a priest were with them? Lindsey Graham tells the bartender, "Did you think I asked for a twelve-inch pianist?" WHAT'S THE PUNCH LINE, MAN?!

43 senators voted "nay" in a Democratic trial. If that's fascism, 43 senators suck at it.

You called the SWAT team on a teenager and a squirrel. Integrity, inschmegrity.

This is where they started to get unhinged. Of course, that means Rosie O'Donnell.

Finally, there's Sean Penn. Who ... I have no idea what he's talking about here.

This was hardly the only outrage coming out of Hollywood over the weekend. A lot of snooty indignation. Some claim that they're going to remember this in 2022, as if they're going to remember any of this come summertime. These are just the five tweets I felt had a certain panache to them.
