Given that there was no real legal theory provided to the jurors, given that the jury didn’t have to unanimously agree on much of anything, and given that the entire thing was a sham, no rational person can look at the Trump conviction and claim it’s anything BUT “Banana Republic Tactics.” Subsequently, Dr. Phil has blasted prosecutors for their weaponization of the justice system.
I don’t advocate voting for one candidate over another.
I stay in my lane, addressing human behavior collectively and culturally, focusing on how we can have maximum control in our lives and turn this ship of state called America in the right direction, getting her back on… pic.twitter.com/tsob0o31V2

According to The Washington Times
In his latest podcast episode posted on Tuesday, Dr. Phil interviewed Rod Phelan, a well-known Dallas lawyer, in which both criticized the handling of Mr. Trump’s trial and the guilty verdict handed down by the jury last week, making a former president a felon for the first time in the country’s history.
“I’m trying to figure out how trying to cover something up that was not illegal, makes it illegal?” said Dr. Phil on his podcast “Phil in the Blanks.”
That’s definitely a good point.
It’s not a crime to have had a beer, and Trump claims he never has had one. However, if he were to pay someone to hide the fact that he may or may not have had a beer, would then make it a crime? Because I am having trouble finding the legal precedent for that but the logic is consistent with this case.
As Dr. Phil said, "This is not the right way forward for America."
He said the standard of “beyond a reasonable doubt” that jurors must reach to convict a defendant is a “pretty high standard,” and that defendants should be entitled to face their accusers, know the crime for which they are charged, and be found guilty by a unanimous jury.
“They just ran all over these standards in this case, and if they can do that to a former president of the United States and that is allowed to stand, what happens to the average citizen?” Dr. Phil said. “Isn’t this jeopardizing all of us?”
“It smacks of banana republic tactics,” he said.
Dr. Phil added that America is better than all that, and "we must be better than that."
We are at the point where many Americans aren't even phased that this is political persecution. But of course, they don't care, many people literally think that Trump is Hitler reincarnated. And who would care if they did all that to Hitler? But it doesn't matter who you are, the fact that they did this to Trump means they can pick and choose who and why they prosecute, and that is not something this country was founded on.
There is this little thing called "equal treatment/protection under the law" and that precedent is supposed to protect everyone, including political rivals. Yet, so many are fine with trashing that and doing away with the justice system if it means getting Trump in jail. But these people are so blinded by their TDS that they don't realize that if the justice system went after Trump then that means they can go after their favorable candidate one day in the most obscure ways.
You don't even have to be a Trump voter to realize how weaponized this lack of a case was. But some just don't care, and that is extremely frightening.
