Reporter Asks Drew Brees if He'll Kneel for the Anthem. He Delivers the Most Patriotic Answer.
Don't know about you, but I've witnessed a whole lot of caving, spinelessness, gutlessness, virtue signaling, and general wimping out over the past several months. It's been a steroid shot to my general misanthropic worldview. But then came Drew Brees, quarterback for the New Orleans Saints. He was asked if, considering all these riots, whether or not he'd still stand for the red, white and blue come National Anthem time. And my man didn't fold like every single celebrity on Instagram. Drew stood strong.

Not only did Breezy here reject the premise of the argument, he gave a resoundingly patriotic response for what the flag stands for, why he'll stand for it, and that yes, America can be better.
The American flag doesn't represent Derek Chauvin or racist cops. The American flag represents America and what America stands for. I'm no Constitutional savant, sure, but I just don't think there's a hidden clause in there about how it's totally fine to kill black people. The Constitution is a document outlining our freedoms and rights. It is for ALL Americans.
So whatever is happening right now, or what will happen later, what the flag represents doesn't change. Drew Brees is right. The gutless, sheep-mimicking wonders in Twitter trying to cancel Drew, are wrong.
