Mayor refuses to back down from calling out Joe Biden, saying POTUS cares more about Ukraine than East Palestine
East Palestine Mayor Trent Conway is facing an environmental crisis after a train derailment caused a massive chemical spill. President (of the United States) Joe Biden showed his trademark empathy by traveling to UKRAINE to tell Ukrainians he has their back and is giving them billions of dollars more. Mayor Conway called out the president's callousness and lack of concern for American citizens.
When called on by the media to apologize, nope. "I was real frustrated last night if you're talking about the comments I made last night. I was very frustrated and I stand by those comments. But if [Biden] wants to come, he's welcome."
East Palestine mayor refuses to apologize for saying that Biden's visit to Kiev before going to Ohio was "a slap in the face":

The previous evening when asked about the President (of the United States) ignoring Ohio to go to Ukraine, Mayor Conway went off. "That tells you right now he doesn't care about us. He can send every agency he wants to, but I found that out this morning in one of the briefings that [Biden] was in Ukraine giving millions of dollars to people over there and not to us. I'm furious. That tells you what kind of a guy he is."

In fairness to the administration, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttgig did finally make it to East Palestine today. Just don't ask him any questions unless he grants you permission to.
I asked Sec. Buttigieg why it took him almost 3 weeks to come and speak to residents of East Palestine.
His press Secretary then told me I was aggressive for trying to ask questions on camera: pic.twitter.com/bOB52DIq0O

As the former president -- who cared enough to show up -- said yesterday, let's hope our representatives and all of the politicians get back from touring Ukraine, including Joe Biden, that there's money left over for the Americans who are suffering right now.
