It takes a special brand of scumbag to attack an old lady. Whether you are robbing them or just a d*ckhead, attacking the elderly puts you on the shortlist to hell like, for instance, this professional driver. He dragged a 78-year-old woman who walks with a cane out of the back of his car. Then, while she lay in the street calling for police, tried to run over the eyewitness.

To the surprise of none of you, this takes place in New York City.

The New York Post reports the woman is Catherine Shine and the driver is Mohamed Ahmed Elsakran. Shine was on her way to a physical therapy appointment when an argument broke out. Mohammed pulled the car over and dragged Shine out of the backseat. He would have just left, but Ezra Halawani was there with his smartphone recording. That's the guy Mohamed attempted to run over as he fled the scene.

Note: This is all according to the elderly woman and the good Samaritan. The driver is still on the run from the law and has yet to give his side of the story.

In a statement from the NYS Federation of Taxi Drivers, they are calling for Mohamed's driving privileges to be revoked: “The video is brutal and shows no compassion or respect for the elderly. Mohamed’s actions will not be tolerated, there is NOTHING that can justify throwing an elderly women [sic] out of a car and into the street.”

Shine luckily is only a little sore and has a headache. Her biggest concern is that the driver is still out on the loose.

Upon being caught by police, Elsakran will most likely be released on his own recognizance. As we reported at the top of the post, this incident took place in New York City. Releasing scumbags on their own recognizance is the standard operating procedure.
