Elon Musk Tweeted About The Lab Leak Theory And Now Chinese Commies Are Threatening Him
This past week, yet another conspiracy theory was confirmed as the Department of Energy concluded that the COVID-19 pandemic likely originated from a lab in Wuhan, China. Weird, I feel like I remember someone saying that about three years ago...

Anywho...despite how frustrating it is, the conclusion from the Department of Energy is not at all surprising. And the Chinese Communist Party is not at all happy about that. In fact, the CCP actually warned Elon Musk not to share information about the totally-not-real fake news claim that the virus originated from the Wuhan Lab. Y'know, to stop the mIsInFoRmAtIoN.
The trouble began when Musk replied to a tweet that read, "Dr. Anthony Fauci funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, lied to Congress about it, and now both the FBI & the Department of Energy have concluded that the coronavirus originated at the Wuhan lab. Does that mean Dr. Anthony Fauci funded the development of COVID-19?”
Musk's reply says, "He did it via a pass-through organization (EcoHealth).”

This prompted a warning from Global Times, a news organization that essentially serves as the mouthpiece of the CCP. The network wrote on social media, "Elon Musk, are you breaking the pot of China?”
Apparently, "Breaking the pot after eating” means “biting the hand that feeds you.”

It went on to say, "Some may think @elonmusk made those remarks only to attack Fauci. [But the posts he reposted] almost all link the origins of #Covid19 to China and the argument is repeatedly used by the US right wing and anti-China media hostile to China to frame #China.”
It's no secret that Tesla has significant operations in China, so that could be the "hand that feeds" Musk. As for China trying to convince the entire world that it has done nothing wrong ever throughout the whole pandemic...that's a tougher sell. Y'know, given their record of doing most everything wrong. Allowing a virus to spread throughout the entire world and supporting total lockdowns for months tends to stick with people. That's just how it goes.
