Who had Elon Musk on their shortlist of going against the absolute insanity of COVID-19 reactions? The Father of Teslas is not pleased with how the US government is treating its people, calling the lockdowns fascist and plenty of other fun colorful phrases. So rather than walking back his tweets from yesterday, the dude is doubling down. All of a sudden I find myself cheering for Elon Musk. I never saw that coming.

During a Tesla earning's call, Musk in part said this (more below the video):

According to CNBC, "Musk called shelter-in-place orders 'forcibly imprisoning people in their homes against all their constitutional rights.'

A-freaking-men. If the world wasn't going to absolute crap right now, I'd buy myself a Tesla.

Musk also said on the call:

"This is the time to think about the future, and also to ask, is it right to infringe upon people's rights as what is happening right now?"

"I think the people are going to be very angry about this and are very angry. It's like somebody should be, if somebody wants to stay in the house that's great, they should be allowed to stay in the house and they should not be compelled to leave. But to say that they cannot leave their house, and they will be arrested if they do, this is fascist. This is not democratic. This is not freedom. Give people back their goddamn freedom."

He's right. This is fascist. This isn't democratic and it certainly isn't freedom. But what's scary is how many Americans are still happy to go along with the oppression. Would this continue if more Americans stood up for their rights? Would this happen if more Americans weren't cowering in fear over losing everything when their city or county sends police officers to harass them for just allowing their daughter to have a play date? Yes, that happened.

Yes, people are standing up. They're protesting. They're going back to work. But the numbers are still too small. We need MOAR people to get out of their houses and get their rights back.

"So the expansion of the shelter in place or as frankly I would call it forcibly imprisoning people in their homes, against all their constitutional rights, but that's my opinion, and breaking people's freedoms in ways that are horrible and wrong, and not why people came to America or built this country. What the f---. Excuse me. It's outrage, it's an outrage. It will cause great harm not just to Tesla, but to many companies. And while Tesla will weather the storm there are many small companies that will not."

Amen!

Dang. I'm going to encourage everyone who's in the market for a new car to get a Tesla. This man is on fire.

His critics are obviously saying he's just a greedy capitalist who wants old people to die. To them I say f*ck you! If you're still supporting the shutdown, you want people to starve, go homeless, want suicides to spike, depression to rise, divorce to skyrocket. So seriously, f*ck you.
