“That does not sound like antisemitic rhetoric to me": Elon Musk travels to Israel, calls for Hamas to be destroyed
Elon Musk is on a visit to Israel where he toured a rural village that was attacked by Hamas last month and is set to meet with top leaders. Today’s show gets into that.
Musk and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu toured the Kfar Aza kibbutz that Hamas stormed on Oct. 7. He also visited the homes of some victims, including the family of Abigail Edan, a 4-year-old girl who was held hostage by Hamas after her parents were killed. She was released Sunday in the latest round of exchanges.
"I think that [Israel] has every right to execute every single last member of Hamas, but it is not lost on me that the more that you continue, you create a new generation of people who will likely join Hamas because they are a victim of circumstance,” Crowder said. “I also believe you can support Israel's right to defend itself and acknowledge that there are problems with the government of Israel.”
Last week, many media outlets tried to label Musk as antisemitic in regard to a Tweet that CNN said revealed his “actual truth.” Media Matters also ran a story that claimed that X was placing ads for major corporations alongside Nazi-related content. In the aftermath, multiple corporations said that they would be pulling advertising.
“It was jarring to see the scene of the massacre,” Musk later said in an X Spaces conversation with Netanyahu, adding that he was troubled by footage of the killings of civilians. They spoke about the conflict, and Netanyahu said he hoped Musk would be involved in building a better future, to which he replied, “I’d love to help,” according to Fox 40.
In the chat, Netanyahu also said that Hamas must be destroyed, to which Musk said: "There's no choice".
“That does not sound like antisemitic rhetoric to me,” Gerald A said. He added, “They [the left] hate free speech. They hate the idea that [Musk] has an open platform and he is going to put people on there that have a differing opinion and they want to take him out.”
