Harvard professor lashes out at Twitter's "scary" new name, gets slapped with epic response from Elon Musk
Yet another globalist won't calm down about Elon Musk, what we now know as X, and the problemtic way Musk let's people say things on the internets. Harvard professor Naomi Oreskes took the stage at the WEF Forum to blast what a toxic place X-Twitter has become. As I'm sure you can imagine, Elon has a response.
Let's first set the stage. The theme for this year's WEF Forum, CPAC for globalism, is "rebuilding trust." And the way they are going to rebuild trust is with a "global collaboration" to combat "misinformation." Here is the unelected dingbat president of the EU, Ursula von der Leyen, with more:
Misinformation and disinformation takes center stage at this year's WEF conference.
Key word here is "global collaboration".
That's code for global totalitarianism.

Then it was Naomi Oreskes' turn. Oreskes, a professor at an Ivy League where the only free speech you have is to call for Jewish genocide (but where they also teach a killer class on Taylor Swift), blasted the unregulated X-Twitter using all the usual buzzwords. "For a long time, I was on Twitter, but it's become such a toxic place I've concluded it's not a worthwhile place to spend time. And as you've said, it is exhausting. I have given up on X, what a scary name that is.
Breaking: WEF24 Davos is underway, and the speakers are already having a therapy session over @X and @elonmusk. Naomi Oreskes from Harverd Univeristy and Luciana Vaccaro from SwissUniversities lament on their experience on the "toxic" X platform and it's "problematic" owner,… pic.twitter.com/2hfmc38ATX

Elon dropped X in response, and, as it turns out, the original name for "X" was something different. "We considered G, F & Y, but 𝕏 is just better."
Twitter's CTO (Chief Trolling Officer) also had bars for the WEF claims that "misinformation" is the #1 global threat.
By “misinformation”, WEF means anything that conflicts with its agenda https://t.co/jiI7WsYnNb

Maybe it's me, but when people say X-Twitter has become a toxic place, I have no idea what they're talking about. Are there a ton of losers on it who need fresh air and/or to find out the hard way when you say things IRL to someone's face? Of course. But that's all of social media and always has been all of social media. This is why the app has a "block" and "mute" button. I have my Twitter set up to where I only get notifications from people I follow. It's made for a delightful experience.
The app is only toxic when a) you go looking for examples of it being toxic (that's where getting fresh air comes in), or b) you come from a world where you are only surrounded by people who agree with your every worldview and can't deal with people who don't. Some of those disagreements can be rude. Most of the time, they're just disagreements. I can see how a Havard professor would think someone expressing an opposing viewpoint would be "toxic."
