UPDATE: Elon Musk has responded via Twitter, and has said. the whole thing is a mistake.

That is good to hear. What that means for the event tonight, how the mistake happened, who was responsible for it happening, and what Elon is going to do about it is still unclear.

This is a breaking story and as of right now it is only The Daily Wire's side of things. So let's unpack what we have. Apparently, Twitter was supposed to have a special airing of the Matt Walsh documentary "What Is A Woman" today for the movie's one-year anniversary. I *think* was part of DW moving all their shows to Twitter, a platform DW CEO Jeremy Boreing once called the "largest free speech platform on the internet."

Sounds like Jeremy has changed his mind.

Boreing went on to say: “After reviewing the film, though, Twitter let us know that not only could we no longer purchase the package they offered, they would no longer provide us any support and would actually limit the reach of the film and label it as ‘hateful conduct’ because of ‘misgendering.’”

He was told the movie would be throttled as part of Twitter's "speech not reach" policy.

Matt Walsh has also responded.

Elon Musk has yet to respond and I hope he does because this is confusing. Elon is believed to have bought Twitter BECAUSE the platform censored The Babylon Bee over misgendering a Biden Adminstration official. But also, two months ago Elon has this to say about parents and doctors who sex change their kids.

Would Elon Musk be censored on Twitter? And does this have to do with new Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino? This is the same woman who pushed for ADVERTISERS to have more of a say in content moderation on Twitter.

We'll see how Elon responds.
