Ricky Gervais pours his heart into his comedy, only to have people on Twitter call him a TERF who SERFs and whatnot. As someone who spends too much time on the bird app, it's easy to think everyone hates you. But Ricky Gervais can rest assured he has friends. Most notably, Elon Musk! The soon-to-be owner of Twitter is effusive in his praise of Gervais' new Netflix special,SuperNature.

Sure, I know some of you are at home thinking, "Really Brodigan? He said "good job," and you're writing a blog post about it? Dial it back a bit."

Hey, you're not wrong! But we live in a world where two tweets equal "people are angry at Dave Chappelle." And Musk's two-word response was deemed important enough to be covered by Wall Street newsletter "The Street" as part of their Netlflix analysis. "Suffice to say that the company needs support. I don't make the rules. I just arrange these words in a compelling way and wonder if the Facebook algorithm will let you see them.

Much like Gervais, Musk is referred to by activists as being phobic of the trans community. I'm not sure why. I think Elon tweeted a meme once. Musk's praise won't do anything to silence those critics. Not if Musk admits to laughing at hysterical bits like this.

Ricky Gervais x Elon Musk. It's the team-up we never knew we wanted. Throw in Dave Chappelle and Bill Maher and have Joe Rogan host a podcast, I think the internet would implode.
