Elon Musk voted for his first Republican ever as he helped elect congresswoman-elect Mayra Flores. But voting Republican in 2022 doesn't mean he will in 2024. Musk told a Twitter user that 2024 is still to be determined. But when asked who he's leaning towards, he said America's Governor Ron DeSantis.

Sure, it's only a one-word tweet. Maybe he means Casey DeSantis, who also wants Ron to run for president. Elon Musk can get a lot accomplished with one word. Yesterday, a one-word tweet on Twitter caused Twitter to actually do something about all the death threats Libs of TikTok was getting.

It's an interesting choice for Musk. Ron DeSantis is the most successful governor in America, and he has my vote. But Musk comes across as someone who would consider himself "fiscally conservative but vocally liberal." Elon is always talking about needing more centrists, and DeSantis is not that.

No doubt Musk followed the controversy over Florida's "Parental Rights in Education" bill, the one that shadowy progressives launched a disinformation campaign against and called "Don't Say Gay." It was many of the same shadowy progressive groups who have been launching disinformation campaigns against Elon Musk. Maybe Musk feels a kinship with DeSantis. Or maybe Musk knows how to read and agrees it is wrong to promote radical sexual and gender ideology to children under the age of ten.

It all makes tomorrow's ALL-HANDS meeting at Twitter that much more interesting. It will be Musk's first time meeting employees who hate him and REALLY hate Ron DeSantis.
