A person with knowledge of the matter (anonymously, of course), spoke to Bloomberg News. The Big Tech company is working on hammering out a deal as we speak. And if things go smoothly, a deal could be announced today.

The New York Times reported that Twitter's Board of Directors met on Sunday to discuss the potential deal. Once Musk announced he had secured the financing and Wall Street was on board, things moved rather quickly. It was first thought Twitter would announce plans, or at least address the sale, when they presented their quarterly earnings on Thursday. That was before today's report.

The word "smoothly" here is doing a lot of heavy lifting. Now that the Bloomberg story hit, every leftist and corporate media hack who freaked out when Musk announced the offer is going to go straight to Defcon 5. The idea of Musk buying Twitter was the end of democracy as we knew it. Elon Musk actually buying Twitter? There are going to be tons of outside forces doing whatever they can to squash the deal.
