Eric Adams had an odd flex Tuesday morning for the middle ground. It involves prayer, guns, and schools.

The right feels students should have the option to pray in school, and also feel there should at the very least be armed guards. The right is of the belief we should protect our children the same way we protect our elites. The left believes f*ck your thoughts and prayers, and f*ck your guns even harder.

Adams looked to split the difference at an interfaith breakfast. "When we took prayers out of schools, guns came into schools."

But wait, that's not all! "Don’t tell me about no separation of church and state. State is the body. Church is the heart. You take the heart out of the body, it dies. I can’t separate my belief because I’m an elected official.”

Don't get it twisted. I'm not saying Adams is going to be touring the state with Rev. Jason McGuire from the New Yorker’s Family Research Foundation. Adams doesn't get a cookie for saying a single thing that makes sense.

This is the same mayor who said he'll send cops door to door to see if you are good enough for a gun permit. His devotion to religion is even in question with his recent pro-abortion, anti-freedom comments.

I've also been following New York politics long enough to know NYC leftists are about to have a collective aneurism. Social media influencer Rep. AOC is preparing her Instagram live stream as we speak.

But Mayor Adams is not wrong in pinpointing the timeframe of when schools started to grow more violent. It's odd to hear it coming from a Democrat.
