ESPN Corespondent Suspended After Continued Political Tweets...
Anyone with a microphone and a mouth has dubbed themselves political experts recently. Many a thin-lipped harpy have used their platforms to level-up on stupidity. Thus, many have been suspended, fired, or lost contracts (see Car Dealership Removes Commercials of Broncos’ Von Miller After He Knelt for the Anthem… and JUSTICE: Professor Who Openly Called for Trump’s Death Gets Fired…). Methinks these people couldn't sleep after getting fired for being #woke.
Speaking of which, an ESPN correspondent was finally suspended after many threads of unoriginal political diatribes. You may be familiar with her rants against Trump.
Actions, meet consequences.
ESPN has suspended host Jemele Hill for what it said was a second violation of the network’s social media guidelines on Monday.
Hill in a tweet said her followers should consider boycotting advertisers of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones after Jones threatened to bench any player who kneels during the national anthem.
ESPN's Statement on Jemele Hill: https://t.co/JkVoBVz7lv— ESPN PR (@ESPN PR) 1507576781.0
Hill had previously come under fire for calling President Trump a “white supremacist.”
@DonnyParlock @demillz84 @JayG34 Donald Trump is a white supremacist who has largely surrounded himself w/ other white supremacists.— Jemele Hill (@Jemele Hill) 1505174080.0
Hill has continued criticism of Trump since her initial remarks.
Of course it's important to mention that she has the right to speak freely about whatever she pleases. But the company she works for also has the right to enforce its policy on political statements, likely one she signed a contract agreeing to honor. Obviously she didn't honor it. Maybe Jemele should have shot herself in the foot instead. Twenty years from now she'll look back and wish she had. #PoorLifeDecisions
