EXCLUSIVE: Murderer Groomed High School Girl into Sex in Jail; Massive Cover-Up
COVER UP: Leaked Documents Reveal Violent Inmates Coerced Underage Vocational Program Intern at Ohio Jail Into Sex & Felony ‘Illegal Conveyance of Prohibited Items’; Local Officials Appear to Hide Evidence from US Authorities To Maintain Multi-Million Dollar Federal Funding
- Mug Club Undercover has exclusively obtained confidential source-leaked documents showing a major cover-up in Butler County, Ohio. We are publishing police reports, inmate letters, redacted images, and recordings today.
- A female High School student working as a vocational program intern at Butler County jail was routinely left unsupervised within the facility with hardened federal inmates -- two of which were violent, repeat offenders.
- Over the course of her internship, the student was coerced by the federal inmates into smuggling contraband including drugs, cell phones, cigarettes.
- According to a Butler County Sherriff’s Office report dated March 4, the teen was arrested for an incident that took place on March 1 involving “illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse” and “illegal conveyance of prohibited items” inside the jail facility.
- According to our source, she was sodomized by two inmates: Willie Attaway and Larkin McGowan. Allegedly, there are videos of this on her cell phone.
- Mug Club Undercover has a recorded phone call of Butler Tech secretary Lacy Homan stating no student would be left alone with inmates because after all, “they’re still children.”
- In a separate call, Butler Tech Criminal Justice Program lead Aaron Fitzgerald stated that students may in fact be left unsupervised with inmates if he selects them for the internship program, but that no student has ever been assaulted or harmed through the program.
- Mug Club Undercover has letters written from inmates to the minor intern which demonstrate how they effectively manipulated her.
- Assistant Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal, Melissa Duffey, announced her office is opening an investigation: “We are formalizing a written response…and I want to say thank you for bringing this to our attention.”
It appears that the minor was allowed free reign throughout the facility, which is against all standards in jail systems across the country. The vocational student eventually became acquainted with Willie Attaway and Larkin McGowan – both who are hardened convicts.
According to documents obtained by Mug Club Undercover via FOIA requests, these convicts have developed a lengthy record while in custody at the Butler County Jail.

Willie Attaway has 22 jail incident reports to his name – with issues ranging from “contraband,” violent assault, and “sexual acts” that includes pulling out his penis in front of jail staff and other inmates. Officers have also filed five incident reports over Larkin McGowan’s behavior inside the jail – which includes threat to security and assaulting another inmate. These incidents date back to as early as July of 2022.
Attaway and McGowan engaged in a manipulative relationship with this minor. This deceptive manipulation included flirting through sexually explicit letters, sodomizing her, and requesting that she do favors for them. Some of these favors included bringing illegal substances and electronics into the jail.
This was further corroborated through images and videos that she posted on her own social media within the facility.
The local authorities became aware of this and arrested the minor. A police report was filed on March 4, detailing the alleged crimes the minor had engaged in.
However, there is indication that local officials intentionally hid this information from the federal government and the public at large.
According to a source, the federal government sends millions of dollars per year to house federal inmates in this local county jail.
Beyond the documents, Mug Club Undercover recorded phone calls with some of these local officials as part of the investigation.
In one recording, Butler Tech secretary Lacy Homan stated no student would be left alone with inmates because after all, “they’re still children.”
In a separate call, Butler Tech Criminal Justice Program lead Aaron Fitzgerald stated that students may in fact be left unsupervised with inmates if he selects them for the internship program, but that no student has ever been assaulted or harmed through the program.
When asked about the specific minor in this case and informed of the documents we obtained, Fitzgerald fell silent and hung up the phone.
LWC journalists were on the ground in Ohio this week, and they caught up with members of the Butler Tech school board.
A.J. Huff, Public Relations Coordinator for Butler Tech school board, said an “approximate number of criminal justice students includes approximately 25 juniors and 25 seniors each year.”
Jon Graft, the Superintendent/CEO of Butler Tech school board, said “I do believe we suspended [the program] when we were made aware of” what had happened with the minor student.
Mug Club Undercover is continuing its investigation to find out the extent in which the cover-up goes and how federal authorities will react to this news.
Jail facilities are expected to maintain serious security standards, especially when it comes to minors that may be working inside them. This reporting brings attention to the possibility of serious reforms taking place in the state of Ohio and the federal marshal’s program.
The federal marshals are aware of what has taken place because Mug Club Undercover reached out to them. They said they were opening an investigation into the matter and promised a written statement.
“We are formalizing a written response…and I want to say thank you for bringing this to our attention,” Assistant Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Melissa Duffey said.
