According To "The Science," Doing Your Own Research Turns You Into A Conspiracy Theorist
One day in 2020, we all woke up and were told we had to listen to “The Experts.” And that if we didn’t listen to the experts and did our research instead, we were science deniers and conspiracy theorists. The problem with all this is that “The Experts” got nearly every single prediction and assumption wrong, while the “conspiracy theorists” got things right more often than not.
There is a saying that goes: Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. This is good advice. People should listen to this advice. But for some reason, there is a massive campaign from people on the left who are trying to convince the masses that doing your research is bad and turns you into a conspiracy theorist.
“If you've ever found it puzzling that "do your own research" is a slogan for conspiracy theorists of all stripes, new research may have some answers.
While conventional wisdom holds that researching the veracity of fake news would reduce belief in misinformation, a study published on Wednesday in Nature has found that using online search engines to vet conspiracies can actually increase the chance that someone will believe it. The researchers point to a known problem in search called "data voids." Sometimes, there's not a lot of high-quality information to counter misleading headlines or surrounding fringe theories. So, when someone sees an article online about an “engineered famine” due to COVID-19 lockdowns and vaccines, and conducts an unsophisticated search based on those keywords, they may find articles that reaffirm their bias.”
One of the biggest problems with this is that scientists are not God. So who exactly is going to be the arbiters of truth and why? Nearly every unelected expert during the Pany D promoted something that turned out to be harmful one way or another.
Medical error kills 250,000 lives annually, making it the third highest cause of death. Are these the experts we are supposed to believe?
The left has been wanting us to destroy all forms of logic so that we appeal to their authority and acquiesce to their agenda. They want to appoint an authority figure with the “acceptable” leftist views to use that as their only form of evidence, rather than presenting facts.
That is what they did during the Pany D, that is what they do when speaking about Climate Change, and that is what they will keep on doing. They do this because their agenda is not based on any evidence. It is based on their illogical ideology.
But just because an authority figure or influential person holds a certain opinion, does not make that a fact. Just because Anthony Fauci thought it was best to close down schools did not make it a good idea. It was always a bad idea. From the very moment he stepped on the podium in March it was very obviously a bad idea.
Fauci is a perfect example of one of those “experts” who seem to get things wrong, more often than not. He arguably did that during the AIDS crisis and he arguably did that during the Pany D.
On top of all that was just said, consensus does not equate to scientific fact. Most of the time, it is the opposite. And if you think about it, there is no bigger conspiracy theorist than a true progressive. They are the ones who believe men can get pregnant. They are the ones who believe babies are not human. They are the ones who believe face diapers stop the spread of the sniffles. And they are the ones who get things wrong more often than not.
But when you break all that down and take the fact that progressives are the true conspiracy theorists, then what they are saying is not wrong. The more research they do, the more unhinged they become. They do need to appeal to an authority figure. That authority figure is God.
