Only she wasn't "right there", he did have a weapon and he's wasn't killed. Heck, the police didn't even shoot him. It now looks like the guy's own gun went off while he was fleeing the police. For entirely non-criminal, valid reasons I'm sure. Because you know, fleeing cops with a loose gun in your pants... that's just another Monday.

Don't worry, that didn't stop the mob of people surrounding the incident to become unruly and require the police to use pepper-spray. Because you know, police brutality and all.
