The video, which was shot during an all-women's event in Sydney's west and posted to Facebook by the women’s branch of Hizb Ut-Tahrir, was revealed by The Australian newspaper this morning.

It features two Muslim women explaining that according to their understanding of Islam, men can discipline their wives by "hitting" them with a small stick or twisted scarf so as not to cause pain.

"It's very evident that this is symbolic in nature," one of the women said.

Let's play a game. Let's play a game where two Christians post a video quoting from Scripture why two gay people should not be allow to marry. That video would have been removed by the end of this sentence. Zuckerberg would write a lengthy post apologizing for it, and Facebook would re-write its terms of service just to appease leftists.

Two Muslims saying how domestic violence is ok under certain circumstances? You're an Islamophobe.

Now, the problem here is the escalation factor. If it's okay to hit your wife just a little bit when she's a little bit bad, then why isn't okay to hit her harder if she's more disobedient? An actual slippery slope. Here are some videos of (alleged) Muslim husbands hitting their wives.

Okay, so that was but a sampling from YouTube of Muslim men beating women. Because if it's a little bit okay to beat your wife a little bit when she's bad, then why not up the ante? How are these men defining "disobedient woman" anyway? Doesn't ultimately matter.

Islam says it's okay to beat a woman if she deserves it. What else can we expect but an escalation of violence?

Imagine if a Christian pastor had a video about how to lightly beat your wife. Doesn't matter what denomination. How quickly would all of media be outraged and calling for all Christians to crucify themselves?
