Leftists in the media are on a crusade against so-called fake news (read Google, Facebook to Restrict “Fake” News Sites After Hillary's Defeat). Those Edward R. Murrow wannabes claim they want to restore integrity to the media. Which is funny, considering all the fake news they're sweating all over the internet, not unlike a who sees an attractive woman. Or a feminist confronted with basic decency standards. Case in point...today's attack at Ohio State:

An Ohio State University police officer shot a knife-wielding man dead after the assailant went on a rampage at the school Monday morning, injuring at least nine people.

The chaos started just before 10am, when a fire alarm was pulled at Watts Hall, home to the chemical engineering department. As people were evacuating the building, a man driving a silver car jumped the curb and mowed down the crowds of innocent bystanders.

The attacker then got out of the car and started slashing victims with a butcher knife. A witness told CNN that the knife-wielding man remained silent throughout the attack but had a 'crazed' look on his face. An OSU police officer was on the scene within a minute and shot the attacker dead.

But that's not what media outlets were reporting at first. No, rather than wait for the facts, the media wet themselves with glee, thinking the incident was a shooting. In which case they could eventually blame guns. The NRA. Christians! WHITE PEOPLE.

Behold: soiled panties...

The media saw "shooter." They got so eager to get the wheels turning on gun control, they forgot to wait and see if it was true or not. Facts, schmacts. Vox, a company run entirely by toddlers so mentally challenged even remedial preschools rejected them, even tweeted their famous gun control "stats." You know...like the ones we've debunked.

But wait, it gets worse. Or better. Depends on the side you're choosing. The "shooter"? Well he wasn't a Methodist. He also wasn't white. Nor was he, to our knowledge, deprived of hugs from his Donald Trump supporting father. No, no, the "shooter" who turned out to be a dangerous wielder of the knifey kind? Well...

A Somali refugee. Probably Muslim.

That sound you hear? Leftist narratives committing seppuku. You know, because knives. There were no boom-boom sticks used in this rampage. Just  blades. Still weapons, sure. But not of the bang bang variety. Just the sharp, poky variety. Also used to cut bread. It's close cousin, the scalpel, is used to remove feet from mouths. Handy.

Watch for this story to blend into the ether by tomorrow. Like the Washington Mall shooting that happened a while back. Because the shooter was a Muslim migrant. Remember that story? Point proven.

Let's have "real talk" about effing fake news, yeah? You and I have sat through many a misinformation lecture from golfer in chief Barack Obama. Just to prove a point, conservatives have made up fake stories about racism that the media published... without verifying. Now we have overly-eager gun haters determined to have another mass shooting at a Gun Free Zone... a story which has turned out to be as real as Amy Schumer's sex appeal. So much for the mainstream media wiping out fake news. Seems like they're playing their typical games of narrative first, facts buried in next day's news if the narrative doesn't fit, while hiding behind their "WE HATE FAKE NEWS" shield. If only the shield wasn't made of donuts. Maybe blame Amy Schumer for the shield's rapid erosion.

The media makes assumptions then hopes the facts line up with them later. That's dumber than hiring Stevie Wonder as a crossing guard. Though not as stupid as putting Amy Schumer in charge of donut guarding.
