Just a thought, but the press might want to stop reporting the accusations without doing any actual journalism first. Especially if the alleged victim lays her rug facing Mecca.

A University of Michigan student who told police in November that a man threatened to set her hijab on fire could face charges after investigators discovered she fabricated the entire story, police announced Wednesday.

According to a statement from the Ann Arbor Police Department, detectives worked along with the U-M Division of Public Safety and the FBI to investigate the case, which had been classified as ethnic intimidation.

"Investigators conducted witness interviews and reviewed multiple surveillance videos of the area in question," the department said. "During the course of the investigation, numerous inconsistencies in the statements provided by the alleged victim were identified. Following a thorough investigation, detectives have determined the incident in question did not occur."

The incident in question did not occur. The incident being an "Islamophobic" Trumpian threatening to set a woman's headdress aflame. I know, I know, it's "hijab." Headdress is funner. So sue me.

I've seen liberal friends on Facebook criticize conservatives for dismissing hate crimes as something leftists are making up. That's because, a lot of the time, leftists are in fact making them up. In fact many of these hate crimes of late have been total fabrications. They're as real as Santa Claus in union negotiations with his elves demanding a $15 minimum wage. Say no, Santa. Accuse them of fat-shaming, and be done with them.

You would think after all this time our leftist inbred bothers and shemales would understand that pushing hoaxes like this only hurts actual victims of actual hate crimes. Which, by the way, if these hate crimes are as prevalent as retardation in a liberal dorm, why oh why do people need to make them up? If there are hate crimes aplenty, shouldn't we be inundated with them? The real ones?
