Your “anti-fatness” is form of oppression, says new college course that helps fatties "put together a plus-sized outfit"
It is time to make shaming great again.
Everyone in the world should be anti-fat because being overweight is objectively unhealthy. But the progressive bandwagon has decided to add morbidly obese people on the victim train through the guise of “body positivity.” And because of all that, we now have the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque offering a course on “fat studies” where students are learning that “anti-fatness” is a form of oppression.
At this point, can we please get a list of groups that aren’t oppressed? Because I that would be much easier at this point.
The University of New Mexico in Albuquerque is currently offering an introductory course on “fat studies” this semester in which students will put together a “plus sized outfit” and consider “antifatness” as another form of oppression.
“This course will consider the structural forces that construct fatness as problematic—as diseased, gross, dirty, lazy, gluttonous, and other negative characteristics—thereby reinforcing antifatness,” the course syllabus states, which Campus Reform acquired through a public records request.
One of the reasons that gluttony is so shameful is because it is technically the only sin you cannot truly hide. But rather than taking accountability, there is arguably, a movement to place what was always considered to be a personal problem, as yet another societal issue. But no matter how hard one tries, you cannot run away from your demise.
Just look at these terms: "diseased, lazy, and gluttonous.” The course intends to change the way students think about these meanings as inherently problematic, rather than the individual taking accountability.
But this course is exactly why we have the saying: “When you point one finger, three fingers are pointing back to you.”
No matter how hard these deranged “educators” try to point the problem at everyone else but the morbidly obese individuals, it will always be a personal problem. And running away or throwing emotional outbursts will do nothing to change what these people know to be true but refuse to accept.
Students who take the class will study how “antifatness” intersects with “other forms of oppression,” such as colonialism and capitalism.
Students will also learn about “fat liberationist movements and activism.”
And today I learned that fat activism is a thing.
The real definition of body positivity is taking care of yourself and/or trying to get healthier. Not doubling down on degenerate habits and pointing the finger as if the problem lies with everyone but the self-loather.
And just like every other progressive cause, all this really comes down to is just another deranged and evil movement that does nothing but cause more misery through lies and a culture that embraces a lack of accountability.
That said, I think we are all thinking the same thing right now. “I don't hate you because you're fat, you're fat because I hate you.”
