FBI now targeting 'incels' for using terms like 'red pill' and 'chad' and we have more than a few thoughts
We've already established how very competent our FBI is. And now we know they're actually so competent, they're going after sad kids living in their parents' basements who use terms like "red-pilled." Because extremism, or something.
The Heritage Foundation's Oversight Project used a FOIA request to obtain FBI documents that included a list of terms flagged for potential violent extremism, either "Involuntary Celibate Violent Extremism” or “Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremism.” The former refers to "incels," whom the FBI claims could potentially “commit violence in support of their beliefs that society unjustly denies them sexual or romantic attention, to which they believe they are entitled.”
This assertion is based on five incel motivated attacks in the US and Canada. Yes. Five.
"While most incels do not engage in violence,” some have been involved in “at least five lethal attacks in the United States and Canada.”
“FBI documents associate internet slang like ‘based’ and ‘red pill’ with ‘extremism’ https://t.co/L9i3MC9YSP”— New York Post (@New York Post) 1681110645
One of the aforementioned extremely dangerous and violent terms is "Red Pill." Another is "Chad," which the FBI defined as, "a “race-specific term used to describe the idealized version of a male, who is very successful at getting sexual and romantic attention from women." The document also notes that “incels unsuccessfully compete against Chads for attention.”
"Red Pill" also appears on the list for racial/ethnic violent extremism, but under slightly different terms: "In the context of RMVE ideology, taking the red pill or becoming ‘redpilled’ indicates the adoption of racist, anti-Semitic, or fascist beliefs.” And "based" also joins the party here, defined as "someone who has been converted to racist ideology, or as a way of indicating ideological agreement."
So, to sum up, our very competent FBI is doing a great job of monitoring the very violent incels of America who have carried out a total of five attacks across two countries. And this task definitely supersedes monitoring known violent jihadists or school shooters.
