In an effort to focus on the real issues at hand, the FBI has decided to swap out the LGBTQ+ acronym and adopt the LGBTQIA+ instead. And because of that, Americans can finally sleep at night.

According to The Post Millennial:

“Former FBI agent turned whistleblower Kyle Seraphin shared an email sent to all FBI employees that instructs them to change the way they reference lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender persons and persons who identify with those gender identities and sexual orientations. This was important enough to the FBI to actually issue this directive.

‘The FBI has officially adopted the LGBTQIA+ acronym in place of LGBTQ+. This change was proposed by the Bureau Equality, one of our nine Diversity Advisory Committees, and approved by FBI executive management to help promote a more welcoming workplace for members of our LGBTQIA+ community,’ FBI Communications instructed everyone.”

First things first, why on earth do we have nine diversity committees? Will we ever be diverse enough?

Secondly, they claim that this is “welcoming” but that tends to mean “welcoming” to everyone except the vast majority of the population. Since that acronym includes everyone but straight people. As well all know, the more inclusive you are, the more exclusive you must also be.

“The FBI then went on to explain what the acronym means.

‘LGBTQIA+ stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, Asexual/Aromantic, plus. The '+' represents other gender, sexual, and romantic identitied not covered by the letters of the acronym. More than 30 federal agencies," they write, "including the Department of Justice, use a form of the expanded acronym.,” according to the outlet.

Why does the FBI care about the intimate lives of other people? We went from “my bedroom my choice” to “celebrate my degenerate choices or else.”

Um, what?!

The plus is supposed to include the "romantic identified" people "not covered by the letters." Let's just hope that it does not include all attractions. Hopefully, the exclusive part about being inclusive is not just towards straight people and that there are some standards left.

I am having a hard time convincing myself that this is really what Americans were hoping the FBI would prioritize. Do people feel safer now that an asexual trans person will not have their feelings hurt if they are being misgendered? Are there really that many pansexuals in the FBI who are demanding we affirm their truth? How do you even affirm a pansexual while you are trying to do your job as a member of the FBI?

That said, this really sends the message to criminals about the seriousness of our federal law enforcement officials.
