In the olden days, Halloween was for two things: dressing up as your favorite character and begging for candy. For adults, finding the most offensive and/or slutty costume. But then came the application of the Dunham Theorem. Which states if it's something Americans enjoy, there's a progressive somewhere in this country who wants to, and must, ruin it. Ergo Halloween became the most offensive holiday this side of Donald Trump's birthday.

Thankfully, the culturally appropriating costume outrage has been dialed down a tad. Donald Trumpliterally destroying the world with his bare hands has leftists distracted. Plus no costume is as offensive as the left's misuse and abuse of the word literally. But SJW still gotta SJW.
